"It takes a village..."

Parenting African American children and addressing diversity issues are two areas under the Human Resource Development umbrella. Through Effective Black Parenting classes, conducted in Kansas City, St. Louis and Southeast Missouri, participants receive education and training on positive child rearing and discipline techniques in addition to examining self-esteem issues affecting them and their children.

Diversity training seminars are conducted statewide throughout the year to educate and enlighten participants about methods of modifying behavior patterns which detract from diversity efforts in the workplace and society.
